Squareworx® is a multifunctional milling tool that has been developed for a wide range of applications.

Whether as a precise shoulder and slotting cutter with an axial angle of 90° or as a chamfer cutter with an axial angle of 45°, all Squareworx® tool systems are available as shell-type, screw-in and shank cutters in various diameters and are all equipped with the highest possible number of teeth. In combination with the internal coolant supply, this enables high feed rates. Easy cutting is also guaranteed thanks to the high-positive geometry, even on weaker machines.

Indexable inserts

The indexable insert has four usable cutting edges with a corner radius of 0.8 mm. Cutting tool materials are available in five different grades, covering the machining of all common materials from roughing to finishing. Circumferentially ground, particularly sharp inserts with a 15° clearance angle are ideally suited for non-ferrous materials such as aluminum. Sintered inserts with the same clearance angle are used for all other materials.

Equipped with only one indexable insert, the inventory costs for both Squareworx® tool geometries are very low. A high material removal rate and four usable cutting edges further increase the efficiency of the system.

Squareworx® shoulder and slotting cutters are equipped with embedded insert seats that guarantee precise positioning of the tool and a particularly stable cutting edge. As a chamfer cutter, Squareworx® can perform chamfering and deburring passes forward and backward thanks to its specially designed geometry with a cutting depth ap of 5 mm. Loaded with features and versatile by design, Squareworx® is an economical cutting tool that you can count on.

Areas of application

Squareworx® indexable milling cutters are suitable for linear and circular ramping and can mill not only shoulders, edges and chamfers but also pockets and flat surfaces.
