Slotworx® VF is an indexable milling cutter that is specially designed for finishing operations.
Slotworx® VF is equipped with the highest possible number of teeth throughout. All tool bodies are corrosion-resistant and durable thanks to their special alloy material. To minimize the environmental impact, they are made from over 80% recycled steel.
The indexable inserts have two reliable cutting edges. The precision-ground face cutting edge of 1.5 mm and a 90° cutting edge of 3 mm guarantee the best surface results.
The insert seats in the Slotworx® VF milling system are embedded for particularly high insert stability. Thanks to the optimized interaction of the mill body and insert in the cutter head, the tool runs particularly smoothly.
All tools are available as screw-in milling cutters as well as with Pokolm’s DuoPlug® system for maximum radial run-out accuracy and stiffness.
Slotworx® VF cutting tools are equipped with an internal coolant supply for increased process reliability. In combination with the high number of teeth, this also enables high feed rates.
As a shoulder and slotting cutter, Slotworx® VF is ideal for finishing 90° walls and flat surfaces thanks to the special geometry of the indexable insert. The milling tools achieve machining depths of ten times their diameter. In addition, Slotworx® VF can perform linear and circular ramping and makes light work of many demanding machining operations in different industries, maximizing productivity.

In their primary area of application, these versatile tool systems can machine steel, cast iron and hard materials at high feed rates and guarantee the efficient machining of workpieces. Stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics, heat-resistant special alloys and titanium can also be machined with Slotworx® VF in secondary applications.
