Finworx® is an all-rounder when it comes to contour and copy milling. These cutting tools are ideal for edging, multi-pass milling on free-form surfaces and working with long tool overhangs.
The rhombic insert cutters are versatile finishing tools. They are characterized by particularly smooth running, even in hard-to-reach areas such as in pockets and corner areas. Several series are available that have been optimized for different machining tasks.
Finworx® S is available with diameters from 16 mm to 42 mm and with either a 5° positive or 5° negative insert seat geometry. The inserts have a radius of 1 mm for precision contour work. It is also possible to use inserts with a radius of 2 mm.
Finworx® M is available with diameters from 25 mm to 80 mm. All milling cutters in this series have inserts with a 5° positive inclination angle and a radius of r = 1 mm.
Indexable inserts with radii of r = 1 mm and r = 2 mm are available for Finworx®. The insert seats are embedded for particularly high insert stability. Tool systems with negative insert seats also have an extremely stable basic shape, while tools with positive insert seats deliver a particularly soft cut.
All Finworx® tools are available as screw-in or shank-type milling cutters and with Pokolm’s DuoPlug® clamping system for maximum radial run-out accuracy and stiffness. They come with an internal coolant supply as standard, which increases the process reliability of the tool.
Thanks to the special alloy material, the mill bodies of all Finworx® milling cutters are corrosion-resistant and durable. To minimize the environmental impact, they are made from over 80% recycled steel.
The tool body and inserts are optimally tailored to one another and guarantee the efficient machining of flat or free-form surfaces, shoulders, slots and pockets. Finworx® can effortlessly perform linear and circular ramping as well as vertical plunge cuts into the workpiece material.
