Fourworx® indexable milling cutters are high-feed cutters that deliver even more performance in the rough and medium machining of different materials.

Sophisticated tool and insert geometries guarantee the high performance of this economical tool system. They enable a reduction of stresses in the tool of fifty per cent.

With Fourworx®, you can unlock maximum performance even when working on less powerful machines. Plus the milling system performs equally well in wet and dry machining, including on unstable components and in deep cavities.

Indexable inserts

Stability and cost-effectiveness – these inserts offer both in equal measure. The specially developed indexable insert geometry has four cutting edges and ensures a very soft cut, even when used in deep cavities and on unstable components.

Despite their small dimensions, the inserts guarantee an extremely long tool life thanks to the innovative reinforcing collar around the screw seat as well as the negative insert seat. Chamfered outer edges also protect the inserts from chipping around the circumference, while a 3D chip groove ensures the best possible chip removal with maximum ease of cutting. A corner radius of 1 mm ensures maximum stability on the outer tool diameter even at high feed rates.

With embedded negative insert seats, the milling cutter also has high tooth stability. This stability ensures a long service life for the mill body, which is made from over 80% recycled steel to minimize its environmental impact. Meanwhile, the special alloy ensures high durability and corrosion resistance.

All tools have an internal coolant supply as standard, which guarantees reliable chip removal when machining deep cavities and also increases process reliability.

Areas of application

Whether for face milling, shoulder, slot or pocket milling or for linear of circular ramping, the Fourworx® cutting tool is available with diameters from 16 mm to 42 mm for a wide range of applications. Even with the smallest tool diameter of 16 mm, three inserts are used. With this high number of teeth on an extremely small diameter, you can unlock cutting depths of up to ap = 0.75 mm and feed rates of fz = 1.2 mm/tooth.
