The concept of working with only two indexable inserts has proven itself explicitly for workpieces that are difficult to machine and that are susceptible to vibrations. The toric milling tool also impresses users with its particularly smooth running properties.
The tool system is available in sizes S and M. While size S is particularly suitable for small areas and surfaces with walls (pockets, grooves), size M comes into its own in medium to very large open areas.
Mirroworx® indexable inserts are like nothing else on the market. Thanks to the cutting tool material, geometry and coating, it is possible to operate at very high feed rates while maintaining the greatest surface quality. Three reliable cutting edges make Mirroworx® a highly economical face milling cutter with low cutting tool material costs. The precision-manufactured insert seats in conjunction with Torx Plus insert screws hold the indexable inserts securely in place.
All tools are available as screw-in or shell-type milling cutters and with Pokolm’s patented DuoPlug® system for maximum radial run-out accuracy and stiffness. For maximum process reliability, all Mirroworx® models have an internal coolant supply. The durable, corrosion-resistant special alloys of the mill bodies are made from over 80% recycled steel to minimize environmental impact.
Mirroworx® indexable milling cutters have been specially developed for the production of completely smooth and even surfaces. With surface finishes of Rz < 2.5 µm, the milling cutters are making inroads in applications that traditionally favored grinding. Under optimum conditions, even mirror-like surface smoothness with surface finishes of Rz < 0.2 µm can be achieved. With Mirroworx®, several work steps can be combined on one machine and with just one clamping operation. The time-consuming and cost-intensive grinding process, which would necessitate an additional work step on a grinding machine, is no longer necessary.
