Uniworx® tool systems are highly regarded as universal milling cutters in the area of finish machining. The milling tool is used with a ball nose or torus insert for finishing steel, cast iron and hard materials.
Uniworx® tools are available with different diameters ranging from 8 mm to 20 mm. All indexable cutters are available as screw-in or shank-type milling cutters and with Pokolm’s DuoPlug® clamping system for maximum radial run-out accuracy and stiffness.
When using Uniworx® milling tools, it is possible to switch flexibly between the use of a ball nose insert and a torus insert.
The V-shaped insert seat and insert screw ensure that the insert is both positively and non-positively locked in place and make it easy to install it in the correct position.
A helical flute in the insert edge ensures smooth cutting behavior and a high surface quality of the machined materials.
The mill bodies of Uniworx® tools are corrosion-resistant and durable thanks to their special alloy material. To minimize the environmental impact, they are made from over 80% recycled steel.
The tool body, inserts and cutting tool materials are optimally tailored to one another and guarantee the efficient machining of free-form surfaces. As either a ball nose or torus end mill, the Uniworx® can plunge directly into the material and is therefore suitable for plunge drilling.
